"Paradise Island & The Gate"
- Paradise Island juggling skit.
In this skit we get the kids thinking about what paradise would be
like. We use volunteers and try to build paradise island on the
stage and we do lots of cool juggling, basketball and giant Chinese
yo-yo tricks. Through this skit the kids learn about Heaven and
that the only way to find paradise is through CHRIST!
- We share about the thief on the cross whom Jesus told
"I tell you the truth. Today you will be with me in paradise!"
- Then we get 10 volunteers to run through a "gate" of
juggling clubs! Jesus teaches how we can get into paradise.
It's only through the gate!
- THE GATE: An amazing artwork to illustrate that
Jesus is the Gate to Heaven that we must go through.
- Finally we illustrate what happens to our hearts when
we come through the gate, through Jesus Christ by using color-changing
rings. We illustrate Isaiah 1:18
- Call for
decision: this is tailored to each setting, and we follow the
guidelines of the churches we are in. However we do have
suggestions that we recommend and have found work best.

Other programs: We also have 4
other programs that we really feel get the gospel across the way you
need it for an awards night. If we've been to your church and
we've done our Island program, you know how God uses that
program. God uses these programs as well that we have put
together for His glory:
The Sweetest Thing:
packed with audience participation and fun juggling--we really show how
Jesus is the sweetest and most important part of life! And how
without Him, you're empty. This program shares the story of the
wise and foolish builders (Matt 7) and the rich young ruler (Mark
10). In this program Nathan spins his 4 foot cube in ways that
will boggle your mind!
Heart of a Champion:
We juggle raw eggs over several volunteers, spin breakable plates,
juggle like crazy...all while sharing the Gospel. We really take
a look at the heart and what God sees in the heart of a true
champion--someone who knows Him. This program shares the story of
the feeding of the 5000 and shows how Jesus came...not to fill our
stomachs--but our hearts.
The Trap: We
juggle and tell a story that we first heard from Billy Graham. We
use the Giant Chinese Yo-yo to share the story of Zaccheus and juggle
set rat traps to share the dangers of being trapped by sin and to show
that only Jesus can free us from the trap.
The Distance:
The program illustrates the distance that comes between people in
relationships: the generation gap, the absent parent gap, the
communication gap and ultimately, the gap between a person and
God. We use some cool juggling and comedy as we attempt to make a
large HONDA appear on stage. Through it all, we see that Jesus is
the only one who can bridge the gap and bring us to God. This
program shares the story of the leper Jesus healed.
Usually at an Upward Awards night, we
try to keep the program with the invitation to around 35 minutes.
Our typical program length for other church events is 45 minutes.
