This is the first story I ever wrote and told with juggling. . .I
used it with Matthew
25:14-30
The Talentless Juggler
by Nathan Dorrell
-
- There once was a juggler who didn't do what he should.
- He didn't use his talents like he could.
- Juggle he could. But juggle he did not.
- So the fact that he could juggle didn't mean a lot.
- Since he didn't practice, he didn't improve.
- And that meant he really got out of the groove.
-
- This juggler didn't care about juggling at all.
- In fact, he threw away his last juggling ball.
- One day, when he was walking with a friend,
- They began talking about talents when along came a wind.
- So they hid in a barn until the rain would end.
-
- As His friend told him of all the talents he had
- This juggler began to grow quite sad.
- Then his friend ask him what his talents were.
- The juggler tried to think, but his thoughts were a blur.
- The only talent that came to mind
- Was the fact that he could walk and chew gum at the same time!
-
- So instead he said, "When it comes to talent I have none."
- But his friend insisted he must have at least one.
- So he thought and thought until he was done.
- Then he said, "Your right! I did think of one.
- I used to juggle, but then I quit.
- So now I probably can't even juggle a bit."
-
- "Quit!" His friend said in shock.
- "Is your brain made of rock?
- God gave everyone at least one talent to use.
- But if you don't use it
- Then you might loose it.
- But if you use it and in the right way,
- God will bless you and send another talent your way."
-
- So this juggler began to practice each day.
- He would read his Bible and pray--
- "God help me use my talents," the juggler would say,
- "And help me to use them in the right way."
- Before he knew it, he could juggle real good.
- And He juggled all for the glory of God
- And now, when he looks back on all the talents he has,
- He has to count on every finger and toe that he has!
